Stop-Motion Film in the Works About “Bubbles,” Michael Jackson’s Chimpanzee

Bubbles

A script penned by Isaac Adamson, once topping Hollywood’s Black List of unproduced screenplays, has been acquired for production by Community producer Dan Harmon and his company Starburns Industries. The project has been alluding its creative style to that of stop-motion feature film Anomolisa.

The script revolves around Bubbles, a chimpanzee freed from an Austin, Texas research facility and adopted by Michael Jackson. The story ultimately conveys life at Jackson’s Neverland Ranch through the eyes of the chimpanzee, ingeniously telling the tale of Michael Jackson without requiring express permission.
