150-Year Old Guitar, Thought to be Prop, Destroyed in “Hateful Eight” Scene


Whatever you think about Quentin Tarantino, he deserves recognition for attempting historical accuracy, but he may not be receiving praise for attempting it during “The Hateful Eight” filming.

REVERB reports that the guitar smashed in one scene was reportedly an antique on loan from Martin Guitar Museum. After hearing of it’s destruction, heads at the museum were horrified to learn it was not swapped out for one of the prop replicas on set at the time of shooting.
