Director: Joel and Ethan Coen (Blood Simple, Raising Arizona, Miller’s Crossing, Barton Fink, Fargo, No Country for Old Men)
Starring: George Clooney, Scarlett Johansson, Channing Tatum, Josh Brolin, Jonah Hill
Synopsis: Working in the turmoil of 1950′s Hollywood’s, Eddie Mannix sets out to rescue a kidnapped film star with the help of actors and actresses, all while keeping things downwind from the press.
Notes: No need to express my excitement at another Coen Brothers project, but who can turn away from a comedy that exhibits their whimsical comedy so much enjoyed (and missed) from previous works. As far as combining slapstick and dry comedy, few have pulled it off with such success as Joel and Ethan. Include a lineup of zany set pieces from their ever-so-inspiring native film industry into the mix for additional creative potential.
